Tottenham are ready to accept £11million for Roberto Soldado and have opened talks with Villarreal over a deal.
Spurs are preparing to take a huge hit on the strike flop Soldado who they bought for £26million from Valencia two years ago.
The 30 year-old, who has also attracted interest from Sevilla and Benfica, has endured a miserable time in England, scoring just seven goals in two seasons.
Villarreal initially hoped to bring him back to Spain on loan but Spurs want to continue their clearout by offloading him permanently.
If Soldado leaves he will be the fourth player who was bought in the wake of Gareth Bale’s move to Real Madrid but has been moved on this summer.
